&lt;p&gt;The Stadio Olimpico in Rome is ready to stage the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa final between Atalanta and Juventus, who are set to meet at this stage of the competition for the second time in history.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The one and only time this has previously occurred was on 1 May 2021, when Juventus ran out 2-1 winners at the MAPEI Stadium thanks to goals from Kulusevski and Chiesa (Malinovskyi with the goal for Atalanta).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;In what will be their sixth Coppa Italia final in history, La Dea will be aiming to gain revenge for that defeat and, in doing so, win their first trophy since the 2010/11 campaign, when Stefano Colantuono led them to the Serie B title.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This season, Atalanta are in with a chance of getting their hands on two trophies: exactly a week after the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa final, la Dea will take on Bayer Leverkusen in Dublin on 22 May. The 2023/24 campaign represents a first in two respects: never before have they progressed to a European final or been involved in two finals in a single season.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Giampiero Gasperini’s side are hoping to win the Coppa Italia for the second time in the club’s history. Atalanta previously lifted the trophy after reaching the final of the competition for the first time in 1962/63. Back then, with Paolo Tabanelli at the helm, they ran out 3-1 winners over Torino. They’ve since lost all four of the successive finals they’ve been involved in (1986/87, 1995/96, 2018/19 and 2020/21).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Meanwhile, Juventus have reached the most Coppa Italia finals (21 before this season) and, with 14 triumphs to their name, are the most successful team in the competition’s history. The Bianconeri have emerged victorious from five of the last seven Coppa Italia finals they’ve been involved in.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Massimiliano Allegri could become the first coach in history to win the competition five times; he currently sits level with Sven-Göran Eriksson and Roberto Mancini in this regard (four). Meanwhile Gian Piero Gasperini has the opportunity to become the oldest coach to lift the trophy: he’ll be 66 years and 109 days old on matchday.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Juventus have scored 13 goals in this season’s Coppa Italia; they last did better than this in 2001/02 (17).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Only two players have ever scored for Atalanta in a Coppa Italia final: Angelo Domenghini (a hat-trick against Torino on 2 June 1963) and Ruslan Malinovskyi (a goal against Juventus on 19 May 2021). Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa have both previously found the net for Juventus at this stage of the competition (the Serbian striker scored against Inter on 11 May 2022, while the Italian bagged against Atalanta on 19 May 2021).
